History

*April 1, 1930 - opened as a station on the Kokutetsu Kihara Line.
*April 1, 1987 - acquired by East Japan Railway Company upon the division and privatization of JNR.
*March 24, 1988 - the Kihara Line enters the voluntary sector and becomes the Isumi Railroad Isumi Line.
