This chiton lives under stones from just below high water mark to depths of up to 25 m.
hell description
The shell is small, narrowly ovate, and medially carinated. The sculpture is rather coarse, consisting of radial and longitudinal rows of closely packed granules, those along the posterior edge of the valves larger and projecting as short blunt spines.
Coloration is greenish-buff to pale brown.
Length is up to 8.5 mm, and the width is up to 4 mm.
