Billy Baldwin (baseball)

Robert Harvey "Billy" Baldwin (born June 9, 1951 in Tazewell, Virginia) is a former Major League Baseball player who played for the 1975 Detroit Tigers and the 1976 New York Mets. He played 30 games (25 as an outfielder) for the 1975 Tigers team that lost 102 games. In December 1975, Baldwin was traded with Mickey Lolich to the Mets for Rusty Staub and Bill Laxton. Baldwin appeared in only nine games for the 1976 Mets. Baldwin had 27 hits, 12 runs, five home runs, four doubles, a triple, and a career batting average of .231.
