Delon Dotson is a technologist[1] and businessman[2] who has worked in several businesses, including Netscape Communications and MP3.com. He is educated in technology, theater, music and law.[3]
Dotson's career as a business man began when he became founder and CEO of EOS, a technical outsourcing firm located in southern California. Having sold that company he served as a director of software engineering for Netscape Communications. Afterwards he was executive vice president and CTO of MP3.com.[4]. In 2000 Delon Dotson moved to the UK and worked with Oxford, Cambridge[5], LSE and LBS as a lecturer and adviser to business students. Oxford University honored Mr. Dotson with a technical scholarship in his name to be awarded to students called the Delon Dotson prize for technical business development.[6] After settling in Southern France he founded[7] and temporarily led Palm Tree Technology[8], a company in the market for internet security[9] , funded by the Close Brothers Group of London. Finally he returned to the United States, co-founded an independent record label named "PH413" and was its CEO until August 31, 2010, ** Correction note, pH413 was not a record label, but the company did have plans to start a record label division; these plans were never implemented **.[10] As musician he wrote songs for two bands; REALTIME[11] and Streaming Geeks.[12] He is the owner of a recording studio called HI Q STUDIO[13].
Dotson's name appears in the 2003 edition of International Who's Who.
