Super Computer International is a US software company, a developer of Playlinc online game browsing and messaging platform.
History
Established in 2001, SCI started as a provider of a game server hosting services for game publishers including Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Atari, Epic Games and Valve [http://supercomputerinc.com/index.php?page=announcements] .
In 2005, SCI's gaming platform was used by Cnet-owned subsidiary to launch GameCenter service.
In May 2007, Verizon had acquired an equity position position in SCI [ [http://newscenter.verizon.com/press-releases/verizon/2006/page.jsp?itemID=29670808 Verizon Acquires Stake in Super Computer Internationalto Expand Presence in Online Video Gaming Market ] ] .
