Vintage gliders are older historic gliders or sailplanes, mostly constructed of wood and fabric, though as gliders get older, there are some constructed of fibreglass that are classified as vintage or historic gliders.

Australian Vintage Gliders

The vintage glider movement is quite strong in Australia and is represented by Vintage Gliders Australia [ [http://www.vintageglidersaustralia.org.au/ Vintage Gliders Australia] ] . This club of vintage glider enthusiasts conducts rallies and fly-ins and workshops, usually in the southern states of Australia.
