Pretty Little Liars

In the beginning, when Spencer doesn't want to be hypnotized by Alison, Alison runs off after an explosive fight with her. She is never seen of again. Best friends Aria, Spencer, Emily, and Hanna drift apart and don't reconnect until their junior year. Three years later, Aria comes back from Iceland and has a fling with Ezra, her AP English teacher, whom she meets in a bar. Hanna has become thin and popular and is best friends with the former social reject Mona. Spencer misbehaves with her sister Melissa's boyfriend, and Emily is questioning her sexual orientation, although Alison always suspected, with the new girl who moves into Alison's old house, Maya. Then comes along "A." She is sending them intimidating text messages and letters. They think it's Alison and that she somehow survived the night she went missing. Sooner rather than later, they find out that Alison's body was found in her own backyard while digging up ground and cement for a new tennis court. They attend Alison funeral and find that they are all getting messages. But it's not over...not at all. Who is "A" and who murdered Ali?
