Lenny Murdoch (played by Frank Gallagher) is a fictional character in the BBC Scotland soap, "River City".
Lenny, married to Lydia, is Shieldinch's local gangster. His nemesis is rival Tom McCabe, who is currently away from Shieldinch. It was thought that Lenny was murdered when he plunged into the river Clyde after the siege there. However, he reappeared, murdering the man responsible for the siege, DCI Eddie Hunter, and is currently working with DCI Richard Whiteside to stay clear of trial for the murder. For the time being, he has disappeared to Spain with Lydia to escape the Police investigations.
