- Paslode impulse
A Paslode impulse is a hoseless
nail gun that does not require an air compressor. Instead it uses a "fuel cell," which consists of a small bottle filled with gas and a battery. When the safety is pushed onto a piece of wood, the gas is pushed into the combustion chamber by a fan. Then, when the trigger is pulled, it sets off a small spark plug which ignites the gas and releases the piston. This is followed by the drive blade which fires the nail.Impulse guns are well known by tradesmen for the foul odor emitted by the spent
propane gas.
