Alec O'Leary (M.Mus., B.Mus., Dip. Inst. Teaching) is the Director and founder of the Guitar Festival of Ireland [cite web|url=http://archives.tcm.ie/businesspost/2007/06/24/story24560.asp|title=NewsPaper Article|accessdate=2008-08-20|publisher=The Sunday Business Post] and is widely regarded as one of the foremost guitarists of his generation. ["Easily one of Ireland's most talented and accomplished classical guitarists" Hotpress] He has spent many years studying guitar with John Feeley at Dublin Conservatory of Music and Drama [cite web|url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Feeley|title=Wikipedia Article on John Feeley|accessdate=2008-08-20|publisher=Wikipedia] and has had tuition from many distinguished players, such as Manuel Barreuco, Roland Dyens, Scott Tennant, Sergio Assad, Elena Papandreou and Fabio Zannon. O'Leary plays regularly both as a soloist and in ensemble and has performed many times on both national radio [cite web|url=http://www.rte.ie/radio1/tonightwithvincentbrowne/1051236.html|title=Radio Appearance|accessdate=2008-08-20|publisher=RTE] and television. He plays guitars made for him by renowned Irish luthier Michael J. O'Leary.

Debut Album

Alec released his debut album 'Milonga' [cite web|url=http://cdbaby.com/cd/alecoleary|title=Milonga Album|accessdate=2008-09-26|publisher=CDBABY] in the Summer of 2008, on GFI Masters Records. It is a solo album inspired by the music of Latin American composers and features the music of Roland Dyens, Antonio Lauro, Astor Piazzolla, Jorge Morel, Jorge Cardoso and Antonio Carlos Jobim.
