Rambhatla palem

Rambhatla palem is a village in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.

A version of the story of its origin follows. Ram Bhatt was a priest from the north; from the present Gujarat region; who was travelling south and has settled in Andhra Pradesh when once a King returning from his conquests along with his army tired and exhausted found his place to rest. Impressed and pleased by his hospitable treatment, the King offered him land (as kings then used to) in appreciation. This place then came to be known as Rambhatla palem after him.
