The Gourishankar

The Gourishankar is a Russian progressive rock band. Their first official CD release ("2nd Hands", released by Unicorn Digital on March 15, 2007) revealed their unique style of music, which blends many musical horizons. "2nd Hands" is nominated for the Prog Awards 2007 (www.progawards.it) within "Best Foreign Band" section.

The band was formed in 2002 by guitarist Nomy Agranson and keyboardist Doran Usher, in Russian provincial city Syktyvkar. Aside from the aforementioned album, the band self-released one EP, in 2002, and one LP, one year later, that is to be released officially by Unicorn Digital at 1st of April 2008.
