Like most anemones, the tube-dwelling anemone contains stinging cells or
nematocytes along its tentacles, however, the cells are not toxic to humans."Pachycerianthus fimbriatus" feeds on small crustaceans.
Giant nudibranch s have been documented to prey upon P. fimbriatus. There are five known species among the Genus Pachycerianthus: "aestuarii, fimbriatus, insignis, johnsoni", and "multiplicatus".References
