Mahendra Singh Mewar

Mahendra Singh Mewar (born 13 February 1941) is a Indian politician and member of the Mewar dynasty who served in the 9th Lok Sabha. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Chittorgarh as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is the eledest son of then Mewar ruler Bhagwat Singh and as per the tradition should have inherited the status and property after his father's death. However in 1984 Maharana Bhagwat Singh willed his entire property through a trust to younger son Arvind Singh Mewar because Mahendra Singh had earlier has objected to his father's expenditures. Mahendra Singh has one son, Vishwaraj Singh, and a daughter, Triveni.
