Zach Myers (Born; Michael Zachery Myers) was born in 1983 in Memphis, Tennessee. He founded and is currently the lead singer and bassist for the rock band The Fairwell, and also plays rhythm guitar in the hard rock band Shinedown.

Personal life

He has stated that, whilst growing up, his main guitar influences were Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Page, Adam Duritz, Bono, Phil Lyonett and Damon Johson. After rumours on the internet claiming that Myers was dating Scout Taylor-Compton from Rob Zombie's Halloween surfaced, the two both admitted to being "just friends." Myers is said to be a collector of vintage musical equipment, currently owning up to eighty-three guitars of various makes. He likes to play pool in his spare time, and is also an avid cook. Career

The Fairwell

The Fairwell is a rock band from Memphis, Tennessee. The band was founded by lead singer and guitarist Zach Myers, a Beale Street based, internationally touring blues artist from age 14. The other band members have changed over the years, with the notable exception of long-time and current guitarist and vocalist Chris Allen, who played and started a fanbase on Beale Street at an early age. Drummer Michael McManus is the most recent addition to the band, having joined in 2008. The group has opened for dozens of major recording artists including 3 Doors Down and Hinder, and has appeared in numerous magazine, radio, television appearances, as recently as March 24, 2008 on CBS televisions "Live at 9". Shinedown

Zach originally joined Shinedown as a touring rhythm guitarist in 2005, before becoming their temporary bassist after the departure of Brad Stewart in 2007. Now in 2008 he has become their permanent rhythm guitarist after Jasin Todd was replaced by Nick Perri on lead, and Eric Bass was drafted in as the new bassist. Zach contributes to the Shinedown fan forum on a regular basis, and receives plaudits from the fans for doing so.
