The league was established in 2005, and completed its second season in October 2007. The current champions are Vukovi Beograd, the Serbian team winning CEFL Bowl 2007 against Budapest Wolves, 28-27.

The third season of the league kicked off on April 12, 2008 featuring new teams from Croatia and Slovakia.

History

Inaugural Season: 2006

The season featured a total of four teams: three from Serbia and one from Slovenia - Sirmium Legionaries (from Sremska Mitrovica), Wild Boars Kragujevac, Vukovi Belgrade, and Ljubljana Silverhawks.

The title was won by Wild Boars.

2007

Second season featured three new teams Novi Sad Dukes, Budapest Wolves, and CNC Gladiators (from Vienna), as well as three returnees Wild Boars, Vukovi, and Silverhawks. Due to the fact Sirmium Legionaries decided not to compete, the total number of teams was six.

The title was won by Vukovi in an exciting and close final game (28-27) versus Budapest Wolves.

2008

Third season features three new teams Zagreb Thunder, Budapest Cowboys, and Bratislava Monarchs, as well as five returnees Vukovi, Dukes, Wolves, Gladiators, and Silverhawks. With Wild Boars deciding not to compete, the total number of teams in the league this season is eight.
