- Kik Tracee
Kik Tracee was a 1990's hard rock band formed in Los Angeles California in 1988, during the last years of the Glam Metal movement, before the influx of alternative music.
Brief History
The band was formed by lead singer Stephen Shareaux, Michael Marquis and Gregory Hex on guitars with Rob Grad on bass and Johnny Douglas on drums. The band themselves were accused of being similar to
Guns N' Roses , despite being more advanced, technical and complex than the standard L.A Strip band.Kik Tracee is notable for being one of many forgotten glam metal bands, due to the popularity of the alternative music scene, despite their technical skill and musicianship. The band had a very short stint on
MTV 's "Headbangers Ball " in the 1990s. Their sound has been described as being similar toL.A. Guns ,Britny Fox andFaster Pussycat .Dana Strum ofSlaughter fame produced Kik Tracee's 1991 'No Rules' underBMG Music . Despite the failings of their first album which spanned several music videos 'Your So Strange' and the title track 'No Rules', Kik Tracee released the Chris Goss-produced 1992 EP 'Field Trip' before later breaking up.Discography
