God's Country

God's Country

"God's Country" is a 1985 documentary film by French film maker Louis Malle. The film centered around Glencoe, Minnesota, and was filmed in two parts. First in 1979, when we meet the various people living in the town, and then six years later, where we find out what has become of many of them.

The film is occasionally shown on Turner Classic Movies, and is available on DVD in a boxed set from the Criterion Collection.

"God's Country" is also a play by Steven Dietz concerning racist Robert Jay Matthews.
