HISTORY

Originally from Seattle, Mark relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career within the music industry in his early 20’s. While in L.A., he met German Record Producer/Label Owner Jack White, where he would spend several years in Germany working as an 80’s Solo Artist (Album “In Stereo”), Song-Writer and Producer (Laura Brannigan, Anne Murray, Englebert Humperdink, Pia Zadora, Hazell Dean, etc.).

Upon Marks return to Los Angeles in the Mid-80’s, he began building a reputation as a successful songwriter with his first major cut on the “Top Gun Movie Soundtrack” (Multi-Platinum record), and has continued to successfully write songs and produce for other artists/bands (see partial list above).

Mark Spiro was one of the first recording artists to be signed by Interscope Records/Jimmy Iovine. Scheduling conflicts/politics resulted in Mark leaving Interscope Records. He then recorded and released his “Care of My Soul” solo album released in Australia/Scandinavia/Japan. Mark recently produced the artists Ruby Summer and is completing writing/producing his 8th record as a solo artist.
