Electoral Reform
As of fall 2007, his APC firm was hired to collect signatures for the California Electoral Reform Initiative, a controversial ballot initiative that aims to do away with California's standing electoral vote system. Currently, California's 55 electoral votes are awarded to the presidential candidate receiving the majority of the popular vote, on a state-wide basis. The
California Electoral Reform Initiative seeks to divide the 55 votes up individually, rewarding the top vote-getter from each of California's 53 congressional districts with one electoral vote apiece.
