Italian American Democratic, was elected to theNew York City Council from Central Brooklyn in 1958.He was elected to the the
New York State Assembly in 1959 where he remained until 1977 representing Central Brooklyn including portions ofCrown Heights ,Flatbush andProspect Heights .
