In early 1991, WKWQ (now known as
WZMJ ) changed frequencies from 95.3 to 93.1, leaving the 95.3 frequency open. The frequency was reallocated to South Congaree by the FCC and after 2 years, the license was awarded to Glory Communications, a group led by formerWWDM sales manager/media specialist Alex Snipe. WFMV signed on the airOctober 29 ,1993 with its present format.
