John Mecklin

John Mecklin

John Martin Mecklin (1918-1971) was an American journalist and diplomat. He wrote for the New York Times, Time magazine and Fortune magazine. He also served as the Public Affairs Advisor for the U.S. Mission to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development of the United States Information Agency in Paris, between 1961 and 1962. He then became the Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy to South Vietnam in Saigon from 1962 to 1964.
