Lambrook Haileybury is a prep school in
Berkshire for children between the ages of 3 and 13. The school has links with Haileybury, thepublic school inBerkshire .The school, located in the village of
Winkfield Row , was formerly known only as Lambrook. As Lambrook it was a traditional boys'boarding preparatory school, and officially accepted only male pupils between 7 and 13. Since merging with Haileybury Junior School, it has expanded to accommodate younger pupils, day pupils and girls and now a new nursery. The current headmaster is James Barnes working alongside deputy headmasters Robert Spencer, Andrew Harvey and Alistair Thomas.History
The history of the school dates back to
1860 , when it was run as aboarding school for boys. In 1997 it joined withHaileybury Junior School in nearby Windsor to becomeLambrook Haileybury . The school boasts 43 acres of grounds and playing fields, which includes a 9-hole golf course.The school's website [http://www.lambrook.berks.sch.uk/welcome.php] states: "We are one of the best-resourced independent preparatory schools in the area. Since the merger, we have been implementinga development plan and so far have completed a well-equipped Science and IT block, a new Pre Prep building, an all-weather pitch and a senior classroom block built round a refurbished squash court."
The school is known for its high academic standards. It achieves "outstanding" results at
Common Entrance , as well as excellent results at Key Stages I & II and atScholarship level. Although catering mainly for day pupils, it also offers full, weekly and flexible boarding places. Fees range from around £4,000 a term for day pupils, up to £6,000 a term for boarders.Notable former students

Westfield House at Lambrook-Haileybury School has a number of reported ghosts: a vast Red-Indian figure standing guard beside a particular bed in an upstairs dormitory; a crying woman, heard but not seen in the attic flat; and a black dog that wanders the grounds.
