Martin de Jonge (22 June 1981) born in Rotterdam, Netherlands is a former professional Dutch/Austrian badminton player.

Career
De Jonge started his career at the age of 6 at the local town badminton club and turned professional at age 16. At the age of 17, after a conflict with the Dutch national coach he decided to move to Austria, to join the Austrian national team. In the following years he participated in world championships,[1] major grand prix tournaments[2] and won the national men’s doubles title twice. [3][4]
Unfortunately, he got a severe achilles tendon injury in 2004.[5][6] Surgery was followed by two years of recovery, but without any improvement. In 2006 he decided to quit playing badminton at a professional level.
Post badminton career
He finished studying at Vienna medical school[7] and currently works in the Netherlands.
