M. Ben-Ari

Mordechai (Moti) Ben-Ari (Hebrew: מרדכי (מוטי) בן-ארי) is a computer science professor known for his involvement in the Ada programming language.

M. Ben-Ari is the author of the humorous "Principles of Concurrent Programming" (Prentice Hall 1982, ISBN 0-13-701078-8) which features igloos, eskimos, dining philosophers, barbers etc. It is widely used as textbook in Computer Science courses and known as "The Igloo Book".

M. Ben-Ari is also the author of "Understanding Programming Languages" (John Wiley & Sons, Chichester, 1996) which is an introductory undergraduate level text on programming languages. Many of the examples in this book are in Ada, but there are also examples in C and other languages.
