Stella Dorothy Loring East (born
25 October in Nepean, Canada) is a Canadian-Norwegianartist andillustrator . She has her education from Canada, USA, England and Norway. East has illustrated ten picturebooks since1987 . Her books have been published in Canada, USA, Norway, Denmark, Greece and Germany. She is both the author and illustrator of her latest book, Wolfcub Sim: Stories about the World Outside.Stella East's paintings contain glowing colours, crisp details and a soft painterly naturalism. Her motives are often decorative, symbolic and slightly surrealistic.
