The shell is smaller than the equally common "
Littorina cincta ", ovate-conic, solid, almost smooth to faintly spirally incised. Coloration is creamy-white, with a spiral zone of dull blue towards the lower suture. The inner lip and aperture are reddish-brown. The height of the shell is up to 11 mm, and width is up to 7 mm.References
