Columbus Crew ofMajor League Soccer . Moffat spent his earliest years as a player for Ross County and Elgin City in the lower levels of theScottish League . In 2007, Moffat made a move toUSL-2 clubCleveland City Stars and stood out enough to be named to the league Best XI and was shortly thereafter picked up by theColumbus Crew , joining his former USL-2 teammate Andrew Peterson.Moffat scored his first senior goal on
March 29 ,2008 againstToronto FC in the 26th minute. This also happened to be the first goal scored in the 2008 MLS season. He quickly became a fan favorite for his work ethic on and off the field. Adam unfortunately suffered a season ending knee injury early in the season.ee also
