Justin Guariglia is a photographer and contributing editor to "National Geographic Traveler Magazine", and a regular contributor to "Smithsonian Magazine", specializing in stories throughout Asia.

Guariglia spent a decade living in Asia, and has been nominated for the International Center of Photography's "Young Photographer of the Year Award", won two "Pictures of the Year" awards, and was named by Photo District News as one of the top "30 Young Photographers Under 30". Guariglia was also an Eddie Adams Workshop participant and award winner.

In 2007 Guariglia produced a book with the Aperture Foundation entitled "Shaolin: Temple of Zen". Later that year he appeared in a TV series with music legends Lou Reed and Tony Visconti discussing his Shaolin Temple project on Voom Network Gallery HD series entitled Aperture.

Guariglia works with his wife, Zoe Chen, in a collaboration called GUARIGLIA + CHEN, and their work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Texas. They exhibit their work in galleries in Philadelphia and Hong Kong.

Guariglia's most recent book is entitled "Planet Shanghai: Architecture Family Food Fashion and Culture of China's Great Metropolis" (Chronicle Books, 240 pages, ISBN 978-0811863452).
