- Scarborough East
Scarborough East was a
Canadian electoral district represented in theCanadian House of Commons from 1968 to 2003, and was represented in theLegislative Assembly of Ontario from 1999 to 2007, and onToronto City Council .It initially consisted the eastern part of the Borough of Scarborough, although its boundaries were adjusted several times. It was created in
1966 from part ofYork—Scarborough . The federal electoral district was abolished in 2003 when it was redistributed betweenPickering—Scarborough East andScarborough—Guildwood ridings.It remains in use as a municipal ward: the eastern half is represented by
Gay Cowbourne , and the western portion byDavid Soknacki .Federal Members of Parliament
