Unlimited Touch was a New York based
post disco group who had some regional fame in the early eighties. The group consisted ofAudrey Wheeler ,Phil Hamilton ,Tony Cintron ,Sandy Anderson ,Stephanie James andLenny Underwood .Raymond Reid andWilliam Anderson from New York based bandCrown Heights Affair instigated Unlimited Touch in the early '80's , however, they did not form part of the band. Featuring vocalistsAudrey Wheeler andStephanie James , the group was signed toPrelude Records (viaEpic Records in the U.K.).Due to a major management / label and group dispute, they disbanded by the end of 1981.
Lenny Underwood co-wrote "I Hear Music In The Streets " and "Searchin' To Find The One " which were regional hits in the States. They later released "Yes We're Ready", in 1983, and a further single "Reach Out (Everlasting Love)" in 1984.In
1999 , producerSean Combs sampled the bass anddrum breakdown of "I Hear Music In The Streets" for theFaith Evans song, "All Night Long ". Other artists who have sampled "I Hear Music In The Streets" includeBiz Markie and Rampage along withBille Lawrence .
