Treach is the stage name of Anthony Criss (born December 2, 1970 in East Orange, New Jersey), an American rapper and actor. He is best known as the lead rapper of the hip hop group Naughty by Nature. He is considered an extremely talented rapper, being ranked among the 100 greatest at Digitaldreamdoor.com. [http://digitaldreamdoor.nutsie.com/pages/best_rap-lyric.html]

His chiseled physique [http://www.eurweb.com/story/eur5690.cfm] has helped him land roles [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0188025/] in crime films, television crime dramas and as a leading man in romance films, including a full frontal in the 2002 crime comedy "Love and a Bullet".

He married Sandy Denton (Pepa of the rap group Salt-n-Pepa) in 1998, but they divorced in 2001. They have a daughter named Egypt.

With Naughty by Nature Treach worked with fellow group members Vin Rock and DJ Kay Gee. Sometimes he would share verses on songs with Vin Rock, but often, especially on the group's earlier albums, Treach would be the sole performer on the song. Examples of this are some of the group's most well known singles from their self titled second album, such as "O.P.P" and "Everything's Gonna Be Alright".

Treach was a very close friend of the late Tupac Shakur, and has a tattoo of him on his left arm. [http://www.2pacworld.co.uk/2pacFriends.html] After Shakur's death, Treach made the song "Mourn You 'Til I Join You" as a tribute to him.
