Vigo Auguste Demant, Anglican clergyman, theologian and social commentator, was one of the 14 committee members who served on the
Wolfenden report on Homosexual Offences and Prostitution. He was born onNovember 8 ,1893 and died onMarch 3 ,1983 at the age of 89. He was Canon ofChrist Church, Oxford andRegius Professor of Moral and PastoralTheology at theUniversity of Oxford from 1949 to 1971.He served two curacies, one in
