The Arthur Lewis Building, named after Arthur Lewis, houses some of the Humanities departments of the University of Manchester. It is located close to Oxford Road and the Manchester Business School, near the centre of Manchester, UK. Construction was completed in 2007.

The building holds the School of Social Sciences, which is comprised of the Economics, Philosophy, Politics, Sociology and Social Anthropology discipline areas, as well as the School of Environment and Development. The building has been the centre of controversy regarding access by students to members of the academic staff accommodated within due to its swipe card policy. This system requires taught students to book an appointment in advance and precludes the possibility of free access to the upper floors.
