Hal Koerner

Hal Koerner is an American Distance runner specializing in the Ultramarathon. He most recently won the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run.To date Hal has raced in over 100 ultramarathons (typically more than a marathon in distance, ultras are mostly classified as either 50k, 50mi, 100k, or 100mi). In the 100 mile category, Hal has also finish in 1st at the Bear (5 times) and Angeles Crest (2 times). He is also the first person to hold both Western States and Angeles Crest titles. With his hard earned experience he has established a truly authentic running shoe store in the mountainous town of Ashland, Oregon. When he's not out running the Siskiyous you can find him at Rogue Valley Runners.
