Aeaces (Greek polytonic|Αιάκης) is the name of several different figures in ancient Greek history and mythology:
* Aeaces, the father of
Syloson andPolycrates . [Herodotus , "Histories" iii. 39, 139, vi. 13]* Aeaces, the son of
Syloson , and the grandson of the above Aeaces. He was tyrant of Samos, but was deprived of his tyranny byAristagoras , when theIonians revolted from thePersians in500 BC . He then fled to the Persians, and induced the Samians to abandon the other Ionians in the sea-fight between the Persians and Ionians.
