Rustem Hayroudinoff (Hayrutdinov) (Röstäm Xäyretdin Äwzal ulı) - Kazan born (Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation) world-renowned pianist. His father Awzal Xäyretdinov is a famous professor at Kazan State Conservatoire. He is a brother of Halida Hayrutdinova, also a renowned pianist. He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory, where he studied under Lev Naumov, and also in London, at the Royal Academy of Music, under Christopher Elton. As well as pursuing a career on the concert platform, Hayroudinoff also has a role as Professor of Piano at the Royal Academy of Music.

As well as his broadcasts worldwide, he has recorded CDs for various labels including Chandos, Decca and NAMI. His recent recordings of the Rachmaninoff Preludes and Etudes-Tableaux have received fulsom praise from reviewers (the former selected by Classic FM Magazine as a part of the 'four discs essential Rachmaninoff Collection'), and his recordings of Shostakovich Theatre Music and the Dvořák Piano Concerto were selected as among the best CDs of the year by BBC Music Magazine and Gramophone Magazine respectively. Rustem Hayroudinoff holds the record for his Chicago recital, which has been broadcasted live on more than 300 radio stations simultaneously.

Hayroudinoff's complete recording of the Rachmaninoff Etudes-Tableaux was one of the three nominees for best CD of 2007 in the instrumental class in BBC Music Magazine's January 2008 edition, and was also named the ideal choice in BBC Radio 3's edition of 'Building a Library' devoted to these pieces in July 2008 (programme presenter David Nice).
