Bruno Stettler

Bruno Stettler (born Zurich 15 January 1962) is a Swiss photographer.

While playing around with his father’s camera equipment at the age of eight, Stettler quickly discovered his natural passion for photography and, soon after, he developed his first images in his own dark room. This childish energy for the search of creative expressions set the cornerstone for his autodidactic skills.

In 1980, Bruno Stettler finished his apprenticeship as a photo salesman and created the initial position for his career in the media sector. From the development of photos in the dark room to the point of proper operation of light sources, Stettler knows all production processes to create powerful picture worlds.

Immediately after his education, he started to work as a concert photographer for several magazines in Switzerland and Germany including "Pop-Rocky". With his intuitional sense for the right moment, he managed to get stars like AC/DC, Nena, Boy George and NDW in front of his lens.

At that time, AC/DC were a the top of their success, and Bruno Stettler was tremendously inspired by them. Therefore, he launched an international fan club in 1979 which soon attracted networkers worldwide.

Since his youth, he was interested in all kinds of new computer gadgets that were available on the market for the first time. He bought his first Commodore C64 computer in 1983, his first commercial Macintosh 1990 followed by the first Swiss mobile phone and digital cameraFact|date=December 2007. There is not one single technical toy in the multimedia area that Bruno Stettler doesn’t know how to handle.

Due to his enthusiasm for technical gadgets, he continuously discovered multimedia processing techniques and was well aware of their incredible potential. From 1985 to 2004, Bruno Stettler produced, as one of the first Swiss artists under the project name FYNO, electronic music. During this period, he arranged Swiss ethno singer Christine Lauterberg, pop star Cornelia Grolimund and the Romanian newcomer Madalina Horeanu. His productions appeared several times in the top ten of the Swiss music charts. Also, he has experience as a disc jockey and is still performing at clubs. Together with the well-known Swiss party legend, Arnold Meyer, he gathered know-how as an event organizer, arranging large-scale events surrounding the Street Parade or the Energy techno festival.

Bruno Stettler made a name for himself far beyond his native Switzerland with erotic pictures and their processing. He achieved lush business success including with soft erotic telephone numbers or erotic clips for mobile phones. His professional ambitions in the multimedia industry led him into a true future market: from 2000 to 2004, he pioneered the field of mobile SMS applications in the Swiss market.Fact|date=December 2007 His company LAWA that emanated from this activity was sold to a German stock-listed company.Fact|date=December 2007

Since 2002, Bruno Stettler’s passion has been fully into photography. He has had international photo sessions in Cuba, Bangkok and Rio de Janeiro, with more top locations to follow. His "pop art photography" is related to brands like Diesel and catches the attention of the viewer with an erotic flavor linked to futuristic elegance.
