Kundara is a place located in Kollam district of Kerala, India. Its main center is at Mukkada. It is famous for many activities. There are many big industries like KEL, Ceramics, Alind etc. Astamudi lake is in this area. Here we will get a special fish called 'Kari meen' (in malayaalam language) is very tasty and nutritious. Kundara Proclomation by Velu Thampi Dalawa is very famous due to its vital role in Indian independence. That was in 19th century at elampalloor (nr by temple). Now a monument is constructed by the government for him.
