Ira Harge

Ira Harge

Ira Lee Harge (born March 14, 1941 in Anguilla, Mississippi) is a retired American professional basketball player.

A 6'9" center from the University of New Mexico, Harge played six seasons (1967–1973) in the American Basketball Association as a member of the Pittsburgh Pipers, Oakland Oaks, Washington Caps, Carolina Cougars, Floridians, and Utah Stars, winning a league championship with Oakland in 1969. Harge maintained a double double average (10.3 points, 11.6 rebounds) over the course of his career and ranks tenth on the ABA's all-time list for total rebounds (4,955). [basketball-reference.
