VSSK Vykhlop

The VSSK Vychlop (Vintovka Snayperskaya Spetsialnaya Krupnokalibernaya) is a sniper rifle utilising 12.7 mm subsonic ammunition. It has a built in suppressor and was ordered by the Russian secret service FSB in 2003 from the Instrument Design Bureau (KBP). It was revealed in 2005.

12.7mm 'Vychlop' (Exhaust) silenced sniper rifle is developed for special operations that require silent firing and penetration much superior to that provided by 9mm VSS silenced sniper rifle. Typical targets for VSSK Vychlop are cars, terrorists in heavy body armor or behind covers like car bodies or other thick covers.
