It is located on the border of Old Town and Hampden Park.
The school's current
headteacher is David C. Linsell. It has a recently installed VLE (virtual learning environment ) which lets pupils post on forums to discusshomework and classwork.The school is also second home to a black and white cat called 'Star'. She is a valued and much loved member of the Ratton community. She can be found most days patrolling the corridors and spending her 'non-contact time' sleeping in the staff room and clawing at the furniture.
The school's uniform consists of a navy blue jumper with a white polo shirt underneath, black or navy blue trousers and black shoes.
The school also houses a number of extra curricular activities and clubs, particularly sport and drama related. Local amateur dramatics group "The Rattonians" rehearse at Ratton.
