website =Ağdam (also, Agdam and Aghdam) is a city in and the capital of the
Agdam Rayon in southwesternAzerbaijan . It is currently aghost town having been occupied by Armenian forces in July 1993 during the ongoing dispute over theNagorno-Karabakh area. "Though the city was never the setting of combat, it fell victim to vandalism while occupied by Armenians. The buildings are gutted and empty, with only the graffiti-covered mosque remaining intact."
