- Adria LNG
Adria LNG is a proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification terminal on the island of
Krk , Croatia. The project was first considered in 1995 when initial explorarty work was undertaken. A feasibility study is expected to be completed by 2008. The plant will provide an important source of natural gas for the Croatian market, which relies of natural gas for 26% of its energy needs. The plant will also be an important distribution point for natural gas to the surrounding market as Croatia's demand only stands at 3 bcm per year which is significantly below the expected capcity of the plant. There is significant interest into the project by the Croatian government who are keen to pursue a 20% interest into the project.
One potential obstacle into the project is the partners E.ON Ruhrgas other LNG terminal, at
Wilhelmshaven ,Germany .Technical features
