General Confederation of the Kingdom of Poland

General Confederation of Kingdom of Poland (Polish "Konfederacja Generalna Królestwa Polskiego") – confederation established by emperor Napoleon Bonaparte on the eve of his campaign in Russia.

Formally founded by Sejm of Duchy of Warsaw June 28 1812. It reestablished form of government very similar to such of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Marshal of General Council of Confederation was named Adam Kazimierz Czartoryski.

Main goal of its activity was to introduce Polish administration on territories of Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine liberated by La Grande Armée from Russian occupation. Confederation ceased to exist April 30 1813.
