1972"The World of Lynn Anderson" is the name of a studio album, by Country music legend,
Lynn Anderson released in 1971."The World of Lynn Anderson" was a compilation album released by Anderson, to display the material she had been recording since being under Columbia. This album did not feature any singles, but it did consist of 19 tracks. Most of the tracks from this album came from Anderson's previous albums, including 1971's "How Can I Unlove You" and 1970's "No Love At All". A couple of tracks on this album were either written or co-written by Anderson's mother,
Liz Anderson , who at the time was a successful Country music songwriter-singer (she was the reason for why her daughter was so successful). These songs by Lynn's mother include, "Husband Hunting" and "All Day Sucker". These songs were also singles released by Liz Anderson a couple of years back. Her daughter chose to record her mother's compositions, but Lynn on her own, never released these songs as singles. Many songs on this album are previous Country smashes, like
Conway Twitty 's "Hello Darlin'" andBobbie Gentry 's "Fancy" (which would later be covered byReba McEntire and made a TRop 10 Country hit for her in the 90s). Other songs from this album, are songs Anderson's husband, Glenn Sutton wrote or co-wrote, like "Good". A handful of songs on this album were previous hits for Anderson, including, "Stay There 'Til I Get There" and "No Love At All". This album reached No. 13 on the "Top Country Albums" list and No. 174 on the "Billboard 200" in 1971.Track listing
