L. C. Robinson

L. C. Robinson (born Louis Charles Robinson, May 15, 1915, Brenham, Texas, died September 26, 1976) [Larkin, Colin. "The Guinness Encyclopedia of Popular Music", page 3528, (1995) - ISBN 1561591769] was an American blues singer, guitarist, and fiddle. In 1968, he cut his first sides for the World Pacific label called "Oakland Blues," a compilation of artists from that notable blues city. Recorded primarily in San Francisco during the early 1970s, a few years before his death he cut the album "Mojo In My Hand", is a superlative retrospective of L. C. Robinson's music, spotlighting his impressive multi-instrumental skills -- not only a gifted guitarist, these sides prove him to be a fine blues fiddler and lap steel guitar player as well.
