Brett Dolan is an American
radio sportscaster and currently serves as the play-by-play announcer for theHouston Astros , which is a position he has held since 2006 along with fellow broadcastersMilo Hamilton andDave Raymond . Before joining the Astros, he served as the play-by-play announcer for the Triple ATucson Sidewinders of thePacific Coast League from 2000-2005,Iowa Cubs from 1998-99, and theBeloit Snappers of theMidwest League from 1994-1997.He was chosen to fill in as a broadcaster for the
Montreal Expos in 2003 and 2004 and during the 2004 and 2005 seasons he was the voice of theArizona Fall League onMLB Radio . In 2004, he represented the Pacific Coast League in calling theTriple-A All-Star Game . He was Arizona Sportscaster of the Year in 2002 and 2003. In November 2005 he worked the Olympic baseball qualifying tournament in Phoenix.Outside of baseball, he covers
University of Arizona football andbasketball in the offseason and was the public address announcer for the inauguralTexas Bowl game in 2006.A native of

Houston Chronicle , many radio listeners have a difficult time determining who is speaking when Brett Dolan and Dave Raymond call a game. Each has a voice and style very similar to the other and critics claim it makes Astros games sound as if they have only one broadcaster, alaVin Scully with theLos Angeles Dodgers .
