Private label rights

Private label rights

Private label rights can be sold and bought in the form of articles, reports, eBooks, and autoresponders. This kind of content is used for the purpose of allowing multiple buyers to invest in the content with free rein to alter and use it by claiming authorship of it.

If you're buying PLR content, there can be many concerns. These include:

Price

PLR products are generally affordable because the content is shared among many buyers. It's feasible to find PLR for $1 per page compared to the higher monetary cost of getting a ghostwriter to create unique content for you or the cost of time to do it yourself.

Quality

Quality can vary among PLR providers. You might find content that has to be rewritten because the writing itself was poor, or the content is inaccurate. Some top level ghostwriters have found the PLR market very lucrative, often making more on multiple sales of their content than the per page rate they received writing for an individual client.

When selecting a Private Label Rights product, you want to be sure it is of high quality. You should also try to determine if the information was originally written in the native language of your target audience. For instance, I have seen articles which were ghostwritten in English by someone whose native language is not English. These articles tend to be of a lesser quality than someone who knows the nuances of the language.

By the same token, when someone whose native language is English tries to write something in another language, the results that occur in translation can have a huge effect on the meaning.

The bottom line is, when choosing a PLR product that is meant to be sold as an information product, choose wisely and make sure it was written by someone who knows the language of the target audience intimately.

Number of copies sold

Some PLR sites require memberships to access the content, capping the number of members they'll accept. Other sites require no membership, but still cap the number sold. Still other sites do not put a limit on the number sold, nor do they require a membership to purchase the PLR content.

Terms of service

Always check to see what rights are being given with the PLR products. Each provider will have different rules. Some will only allow you to use them if you alter them, while others leave that decision up to you. You will need to see if you're allowed to:

* Post them on Article Directories
* Use them as web content
* Break them up into blog posts
* Bundle them and sell or give them away as bonuses
* Post them in your ezines / autoresponders

You can find PLR products in specific niches or sites that provide multiple niches, from marketing to wedding planning.

Becareful when purchasing private label rights, many products are private label rights products that have been rehashed again and again.

Because there are so many plr memberships today, it is very difficult to find out how many people have the same exact product as you.

You could buy a product that says to only be circulated to 100 people, but if 1 of those people start giving the product away fro free it could instantly de-value your product over night!

A great way to insure you always get "quality" PLR is to only but 100% exclusive plr. Although this plr is very rare, it is the only sure fire way to know you have a product that can not be de-valued.

Another great way to get 100% exclusive plr is to go to scriptlance and hire a designer or a writer. This is much more expensive, but it insures your products value in the long run.
